Broomfield Police Department Sponsors Anti-Auto Theft Software Event

The Broomfield Police Department, KIA, Flatiron Crossing Mall and the Colorado Auto Theft Prevention Authority are sponsoring a free anti-theft software upgrade event for KIA car owners at the Flatiron Crossing Mall from Friday through Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., according to a news release.

Technicians will be at the mall to install the software. No appointment is necessary. To find out if your car qualifies, you can visit the KIA Customer Care Center website and enter your VIN number. Those who do not qualify for the upgrade can receive free steering wheel locks. Broomfield police will also be on hand to hand out educational materials on vehicle theft and safety, the news release said.
