Portugal FC Overpower Astros2008-06-15![]() Lamport Stadium, Friday June 13th 2008 – Portugal FC took on the North York Astros for a chance to increase their winning streak to 3 in a row. Portugal FC was always on top from the start. Portugal FC outclassed the Astros and finished the game 4-0. Mike Aigbokie played a prominent role for Portugal FC where he sent two past the Astros goalkeeper at the 25th and 59th minute. Captain Danny Amaral slotted a goal from the penalty spot at 48 minutes and the fourth was a second half own goal when the Astros’ Frank Iaizzo intercepted a cross to push the ball into his own net from three yards. It just wasn’t North York’s night with the game being shown live on Rogers TV. To top that Astros top goal scorer, Selvin Lammie, failed to score from the penalty spot at 62 minutes. Portugal FC has proven to be a powerful team and hoping to increase their undefeated streak with a home game this weekend against Toronto Croatia at 8:00pm this Friday, June 20th at Lamport Stadium.
